Arrival in Vienna, Ljubljana, Budapest, Kiev or any town in Russia on our itinerary. Arrival in Ulaanbaatar 23 days later (if starting the expedition in Europe)


We’ll be leaving Europe in mid-June which will give us enough time to be in Ulaanbaatar for the Naadam festival.


We will be covering between 300 and 600 km a day, depending on the terrain and our trekking/kayaking activities. Yeah, there are plenty of lakes on our journey, incl. the Lake of Baykal in Siberia - oldest lake on the planet; and many more smaller lakes both in Siberia and Mongolia. We’ll be visiting Buddhist Tuva as well.


We explore the mountains, the waterfalls, the dunes, the gers, the temples, the nomads, the remote villages, the Western Mongolian eagles & the vast emptiness in between.


The expedition includes a lot of camping: this is nomadic territory after all, it also includes staying in traditional Mongolian tents (gers); optional is accommodation in Russian dachas.

We provide 1-second tents.



23 days (3 days Ukraine, 11 days Russia/Siberia, 9 days Mongolia) from 3500€.

Extra 70€/day/person if you continue with us to totally nomadic Western Mongolia.

Cost for a 30-day expedition of a lifetime: 4,200€

Price is based on 4 passengers per vehicle + guide/driver. There are - as mentioned above - numerous options in terms of accommodation, single/double occupancy, food, etc. - we need to hear from you to finalize the options and the price.
